On behalf of our long-term cooperation partner, we are now recruiting for a position of
CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
Your main purpose will be full responsibility for accounting, labour, direct and indirect tax legislation compliance, and implementation of changes.
You will be a team lead of 1 accountant.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Prepare an annual report
- Calculate wages and taxes (salaries, sales bonuses, vacations, etc.)
- List fixed assets, deprecations, etc.
- Post rental machines (operating and capital leases) agreements and verification of the balances
- Calculate loans and interest
- Prepare and submit reports to the Tax and Customs Board (VAT and taxes from salaries), the Statistical Office, and other state agencies
- Maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies
- Prepare job agreements and all other documentation related to human resources
- Make account reconciliations
Your experience & skills:
- Higher education in Accounting or Finance related field
- At least 3-5 years of successful experience in accounting and financial management
- Professional knowledge of Latvian and English
- Practical experience in working with ERP systems
- Advanced MS Excel user
- Excellent strategic planning skills
- Ability to work independently
- Practical experience in SAP system will be considered as an advantage
