Job summary

The RB Rail Interoperability Engineer is responsible for implementation of related activities aimed at demonstrating that Rail Baltica system complies with interoperability requirements as set in EU Interoperability Directive and related Technical Specifications of Interoperability (TSI), implements RB Rail Interoperability Plan ensuring review of relevant interoperability documentation, resolution of technical issues, execution of certification processes, review of amendments of Design Guidelines, improvement of internal quality and collaboration with involved parties.

The RB Rail Interoperability Engineer provides assistance in technical coordination of NoBo services towards RB Rail design and construction projects. He/she provides technical feedback to Interoperability Manager and Project Manager of NoBo Services to ensure timely treatment of technical matters, uses and advises on development of tools or procedures for monitoring of projects related to interoperability compliance, data environment, requirement management and traceability.

In addition, the RB Rail Interoperability Engineer contributes in the preparation of interoperability reports for RB Rail System Review Panel prior submission to NSAs and ensures follow-up of requirements for Verification and validation purpose.

We will entrust You to

  • Assistance in development and implementation of RB Rail Interoperability plans and reporting system;
  • Assistance in development and implementation of Common Data Environment for technical interoperability;
  • Assistance in management and technical review of Interoperability requirements as part of RB Rail requirements database;
  • Contribute in resolution of technical interoperability issues including expertise of relevant documentation (for example, review of the deliverables) or compilation of Technical files;
  • Proposes and Reviews Design Guidelines updates;
  • Contribute in preparation of the ERTMS interoperability dossier for ERA approval;
  • Contribute in communication with stakeholders;
  • Contribute in technical and progress meetings related to interoperability;
  • Contribute in internal QM department and Quality audits;
  • Contribute in Validation and Verification;
  • Preparation of submissions to NSA or/and ERA;
  • Technical feedback related to interoperability topics;
  • Contribute in activities delivery in accordance with RB Rail quality management requirements.

To succeed, you should have

  • Expertise in EU Interoperability Directives and TSIs;
  • Expertise in International and National (Baltic States) railway legislation;
  • Knowledge and significant experience in conformity assessments;
  • Knowledge and significant experience in quality management;
  • Knowledge of certification and accreditation processes;
  • Experience in solving of technical tasks;
  • Structured mindset and analysis;
  • Fluent English spoken/written.

Office location

Full time located in Riga, Latvia.
